Combined heat and power generation (CHP) plants offer the most efficient methods for converting fuels into usable energy, whereby efficiencies of between 60 and 95 per cent are possible (overall utilisation). The high efficiency of CHP plants makes a considerable contribution to their economic efficiency and to protecting the environment.
